BRISBANE SOUTH
PRIMARY HEALTH NETWORK
(MAR 2020 - Dec 2021)

I began working as the Visual Storyteller for Brisbane South PHN at the end of March 2020, the week the organisation transitioned to working from home due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Stepping into this newly-created role was a steep learning curve that demanded tight deadlines, strong team coordination and flexibility. This was my first role as a solo creative for an organisation.

The main focus over the two years was the COVID-19 response. During 2020 we focussed on supporting primary health workers and businesses in our region, as well as creating targeted campaigns for our culturally and linguistically diverse communities.

Behind the scenes, a full brand refresh was also required. Refreshed brand assets were created by Gilimbaa, a local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander design agency based in Brisbane. We worked together to update the corporate colour palette and I used the assets to create a modern and cohesive style for the Brisbane South PHN brand. This branding influenced the overall creative direction, illustration, animation and typographic styles used and developed across all work produced in 2021.
