The Last of the Tree Giants

This self-initiated comic was created in response to a weekend spent in the Takayna/Tarkine forest in Tasmania with the Bob Brown Foundation. Takayna/Tarkine is the largest remaining temperate rainforest in Australia, and the second largest in the southern hemisphere. The forest is under ongoing threat of mining and logging, despite being a unique habitat to a wide range of endangered plant and animal species. The Bob Brown Foundation hosts artists of all mediums for an annual creative weekend. The works are later shown at an exhibition to raise awareness and funds to support the protection of the forest.
